The fever of T20 is here
T20 is the game of cricket which is limited by 20 overs instead of 50. Let’s see the history of cricket, cricket was brought to the country by the british rule during 18th Century. The game is played with 11 players on each side, the game started with Test match which was 5 days long and had two innings, the match got ended on the ending of the innings. Then came the ODIs, these were special as the game ended in a day, hence the name One Day Innings or ODIs. These matches became popular and cricket fever became good in India after the introduction of players like Mohinder Amarnath, Sachin Tendulkar, Kapil Dev and others. Even out of all the cricket players of the Indian Team, the most well known Batsman with highest run is none other than Sachin and he is said to be the god of cricket in India.
When cricket was introduced each over had seven balls and now it’s six, although most of the Indian population likes crickets and watch it regularly there are some people who don’t like the game despite it being popular. The main reason for the non-likers of cricket is media, media hyped cricket to such a level that no one even cares about the National Game Hockey or even the Olympics, several cases have came which shows the post-winning condition of Olympic athletes. This divide is created by media and they also add it to hypocrisy as a local and private tournament of cricket like IPL(Indian Premier League) provides cricketers with massive amount of capital just to play while many of the Olympic athletes who have won previously for the country don’t even get a penny, this hype is not only created by media but many other factors are also there but major part of this divide and hypocrisy is created by media. While observing the short time period of 90 minutes for games like football, basketball etc. ICC(International Cricket Corporation) decided to give rise to a new game where the overs will be reduced to 20, hence helping players to play comfortably.
This reduced the time of playing and helped players get rest if they have to play on the next day, and then like the Cricket ODI world cup, T20 Worldcup also started and guess who was the first winner of the tournament, yup! It was Team India. Now its the sixth t20 World Cup tournament which is going on the previous two matches were very difficult for India , they were India vs Bangladesh and India vs Australia and India won both of them. For celebrating this type of happiness there are many things one can get and one can also celebrate it as a party. It is a fact that a party remains incomplete without a cake so you can get cake with order online cake in DelhiNCR, same day cake delivery in DelhiNCR and cake delivery in DelhiNCR with anyone of the popular online gifting portals just like Winni, so why wait the next match is today of India vs West Indies, so get in front of your TV seat and enjoy the match with a sweet, delicious and fesh cake.Wednesday, 23 December 2015
Amigo Secreto : the custom of making everyone happy
Secret Santa is a tradition followed in the Western part of
the world according to this tradition the members of a community or group are
randomly assigned as a person’s Santa to whom they have to give a gift anonymously.
It is derived from an old Christian tradition, this ritual is known as Secret
Santa in the US and the UK; as Kris Kindle (Christkindl) or Kris Kringel in
Ireland; same names as Ireland and also Engerl-Bengerl is the name of this
tradition in many parts of Austria; Kris Kringle in Canada and Australia,
similarly its known as Monito-monita in the Philippines while its name in
Dominican Republic is Angelito and in Germany it is referred as Wichteln.
"Wichteln" is called as the deed done by a Wichtel or a wight, so its
meaning is a good deed. In Poland, this tradition is celebrated on the 6th
of December (Mikołajki). All of the above names are derived from traditional
gift-bringers on Christmas, while the American custom is named after Saint
Nicholas infamously proclaimed as Santa Claus, while the names Chris Kindle and
Kris Kringle are both variations of the original name of the gift-bringer in Austria,
Christkindl, which has its meaning as Christ Child which can be said to provide
a link to Jesus Christ. There are exceptions in the UK where the gift-bringer
is traditionally known as Father Christmas and the Philippines which has the
Three Kings as their gift-bringer referring to the three kings who bought gifts
for Jesus. While in Latin America the use of amigo secreto which means secret
friend or amigo invisible referring to an invisible friend. So this Christmas be
an amigo invisible for someone and secretly present them with gifts of
happiness, you may also present a cake to symbolize Christmas pudding, so gift
a cake through order online cake in Pune or same day cake delivery in Pune and
spread happiness across their face.
This tradition is also popular in India, where in many
colleges, offices and in some school it’s celebrated and for its celebration
the name of the people present are written on pieces of paper and folded and
everyone has to randomly pick a piece and in it will be written that whose
amigo secreto you are and accordingly you can get or order a gift and secretly
keep it at a place where the recipient may see it and see their surprise on
receiving your gift. So we can say it is a form of surprise gift but gifted in
its own unique way. Christmas is considered as the time when gifting is the
most common custom so secret Santa is another way of being Santa for someone
may he be older than you or even younger than you so you can also share the
merriment of the eve. So get ready may you also be surprised as someone may be
your secret Santa too and get in the feeling of the Eve and the holidays.

Be the disciplinarian with Hades
Today we will journey to the world after the living i.e. the
underworld where Hades, the Greek God of Dead and riches resides, he was the chthonic
god of the underworld so the underworld is also known by the same name as his
i.e. Hades. Hades refers not only to the god but also his realm also has been
named after him. Hades is regarded as the eldest son of the titans Cronus and
Rhea, while being the eldest son but he came out last from his father’s stomach
when he regurgitated his children. He and his brothers Poseidon and Zeus were
the main reason for their father’s defeat and they divided their realms and
Godly duties, Zeus being the one who caused their father’s regurgitation took
the endless sky and air as his realm and became the Lord of Sky while Poseidon
received the power of all the seas and water bodies so became the Lord of Seas
and Hades received the underworld and being just below the Earth he became the
richest god in terms of wealth as all the Gems and riches under the Earth
belonged to him in addition to him being the king of a realm where all the dead
souls of all the mortals come, hades can be considered as most powerful in
terms of armies as he can raise the mortal souls as undead warriors so it is
said that Hades had the largest army of the three. These three controlled the
main and primary forces of nature so they were considered as the Trinity of the
Greek gods, while solid Earth which is the Titan Gaea, their grandmother
belonged to all three of them in the same way. Hades is often portrayed with
his pet three-headed dog called Cerberus who is considered as his gatekeeper
and guard and doesn’t let any of the dead escape from their fate. He has a
bident which have only two points as compared to a trident and his signature
weapon was the infamous Helm of Darkness which is said to render Hades
invisible and shrouded in darkness or emit pure waves of fear which generally
paralyzed all the enemies around him. Similar to other Olympians he also have a
roman equivalent or aspect known as Pluto. He may simply represent your uncle
or your father or a relative who is excruciatingly strict and doesn’t allow
anyone in his family or under him may it be personally or professionally to
flout the rules or go against his set rules and regulations and hands out
punishment, he may be considered as a man with a bad personality but knows
about good so Hades is similar to him so anytime you like the discipline he
maintains anywhere appreciate it with a gift for Uncle in Pune or gift for relative in Pune and
make them drop some of their strictness even for a short time, if there is any
special occasion, then get him a cake with order online cake in Pune or sameday cake delivery in Pune and make him happy and see the sunny side of life.
If we talk about the origin of name Hades then it’s uncertain,
but it shows his ability of being only seen after death as it may have a meaning
as The Unseen One. The people were fearful of invoking his name as him being
the God of Death, so it’s believed his Roman form got the name as Pluto, which
shows his connection with all the precious minerals and metals under the Earth because
it means Wealthy, he is also known as the giver of wealth as it was believed that
all the precious metals which were unearthed were due to Hades giving them to
humanity. He was also the stalker and lover of the Goddess Persephone and tried
to obtain her through abduction but in the end Persephone due to eating an
underworld fruit and after understanding Hades’ love happily agreed to become
the queen of the underworld despite being a goddess of Springtime and
vegetation.

Personify your love with Aphrodite
Aphrodite, the Greek goddess personifying love, pleasure, procreation and beauty, she has her Roman equivalent or aspect which is also the name of a planet, Venus. Like many ancient Greek gods or deities, there are many stories relating to her birth or origins. Written in Hesiod's Theogony is one of the theory of her birth as she was born at the place where Cronus or Kronos cut off Ouranus’s or Uranus's genitals after his castration and threw it in the sea where she arose from the foam created from the parts (aphros), while in Homer's Iliad, she is considered as the daughter of Dione and Zeus, the lord of sky. According to texts written in Plato (Symposium, 180e), these origins are considered as the origin of two entirely different or separate entities named Aphrodite Ourania and Aphrodite Pandemos. Her beauty made other gods fear that they may fight due to their rivalry over this beauty and it would lead to interruption of the peace among them and may lead to war, so Hera and Zeus, the queen and king of gods married Aphrodite or Venus to Vulcan or Hephaestus, who was not seen as a threat due to his ugliness and deformity and he was one of the strongest gods in strength due to his being Lord of blacksmiths, craftmen, metals and fire. In spite of her marriage Venus had many flings and a string of lovers which included both gods, men, dryads and other intelligent creatures, we can take the example of a god as Ares, the god of war and from men we can consider Anchises who was the father of Aeneas, the man who founded the Roman Empire. She also took part in the legend of Eros and Psyche, and later she played the role of both Adonis's lover as well his surrogate mother. Valentine's Day, which is also known as Saint Valentine's Day is a celebration which is observed on the day of February the 14th each year. On this day It is celebrated across the globe in many countries by giving gifts for her in Pune while in some countries it is a custom to give chocolates to men or boys by a girl who either helped her or of she loved him, if a girl gave chocolates to the one who helped her than it is called customary chocolate while if she loved her then it will be love chocolates, you can also order online chocolate cake in Pune or order gifts for your love in Pune by many online portals.
This Day began as a liturgical celebration and it is celebrated on
the occasion of one early Christian saints who was named Valentinus. Several
stories relating to martyrdom were invented for the people who celebrated the
later Valentine’s days belonging to February the 14th, and it all
added to many new martyrologies. One of the popular account of the
aforementioned Saint of Rome states that he performed many weddings for
soldiers who were not allowed to marry which is one of the reason for his imprisonment
while the other reason being the ministration of Christians, who were
persecuted under the rule of the great Roman Empire, other legends also tell
that during his imprisonment, he also healed Asterius, the daughter of his
jailer. Love is said to be the most popular and powerful emotion
in the emotional rainbow, it is rightly said that love can even move
mountains and love can make and break a family, relation and make others
connected by the ties of love happy.

The cosmic egg of creation, Kushmanda
Now comes one of the many theories of creation of universe, there
are many theories about the creation of universe, in every culture different
stories are believed which make the basis of religions and gods who people
follow. The most popular theory is called the big bang theory according to
which a big blast bought the sun and all the planets come into their positions,
while according to one of the ancient civilizations, the Greeks and Romans have
the story as follows:
In the beginning there was nothing except and entity called Chaos,
from Chaos came Erebus, the darkest part of the universe, then love and beauty
came into existence, due to which Gaea was born from Chaos, Gaea also called
Mother Earth or Mother Nature, she gave birth to Ouranos or Uranus or the sky,
the sky (Ouranos) and the Earth (Gaea) came together and gave birth to the one-eyed
Cyclopes, the hundred handed Hecatoncheires, and the twelve Titans. Ouranos threw
his children Hecatoncheires and Cyclopes in Erebus, due to this Gaea became
angry and she plotted against Ouranos made the youngest titan Cronus or Kronos castrate
Uranus using a sickle, Uranus’s spirit scattered in the skies but not before
cursing Kronos with the same fate as his. Kronos became the next ruler, Kronos
married his sister Rhea, but then he remembered Uranus’s curse so he swallowed
five of his children but Rhea saved the youngest named Zeus and hid him on the
island of Crete where he was raised by nymphs. Rhea replaced the baby Zeus with
a stone in a swaddle which was again swallowed by Cronus, after growing up Zeus
made up a solution and tricked Kronos into drinking it, due to the solution
Cronus vomited the elder five siblings namely Demeter, Hestia, Hera, Poseidon
and Hades and with Zeus all the children of Kronos and Rhea ran away, after
rescuing the Cyclopes and Hecatoncheires forged new weapons out of which the
three most powerful ones were Zeus’s lightning bolt, Poseidon’s trident and Hades’s
Helm of darkness, they threw off Kronos and locked him in Tartarus and kept
their promise to the Cyclopes and Hecatoncheires and setup a council of Twelve
of them and ruled thereon.
In Hindu mythology the stories are basically celebrated as of the
two most powerful of the trinities I.e. Lord Vishnu or Lord Shiva, anyone of
them can be considered as the creator as there are different stories relating
to them, one of them can be said that out of chaos came Lord Vishnu riding a
snake and from his navel grew a Lotus on which Lord Brahma was present, Lord
Vishnu said, “It is time to begin” and Lord Brahma remaining in the lotus
flower, floated and tossed the seas. He lifted up his arms and calmed the wind
and the ocean. Then Brahma split the lotus flower into three. He stretched one
part into the heavens. He made another part into the earth. With the third part
of the flower he created the skies. Then Brahma created life which contained
plants, trees, flowers, grass, animals, birds and humans and so life and Earth
were created.
Another story which is related to Lord Shiva goes similarly as,
Out of chaos came Lord Vishnu sleeping on the snake Vasuki and out of his navel
grew the Lotus with Brahma in it, both meditated in their respective positions
for many years, when they awoke they started fighting as they both were proud
of their knowledge them out of nowhere came an endless black lingam or shivling
out of which a voice came that the winner will be decided by one who finds
either the end or the start of that lingam, none of them were unable to find
its start or its end so they returned dejected and Lord Shiva appeared from the
lingam and told them that they were part of Him, as conceived by both Lord
Vishnu and Brahma, Mahadeva or Lord Shiva was complete in himself as they were male
aspects while Lord Shiva was complete as he/she has both male as well as female
aspects, Lord Brahma prayed and asked Lord Shiva for his female half also known
as Adishakti and used her to create Earth and life, but due to most of her
energy spent she was spread thin into the nature, then Lord Shiva can be said
as Purusha while Adishakti can be said as Prakarti, so the unification of
Prakarti and Purusha results in life, after some time Adishakti incarnated in
Sati who married Shiva but due to her arrogant father Daksha she later
immolated her but again Devi Adishakti reincarnated as Parvati and this time
she labored herself to became the same as Shiva and married him.
The last theory is given as the world made by the fourth form of
Adishakti or Parvati, Kushmanda as a female can only give birth, so this theory
is also popular and the tale goes on as:
When the universe was non-existent and darkness prevailed
everywhere, Maa Kushmanda produced the Cosmic egg with her smile, bringing
light to the universe. She is said to give direction to the Sun God, Surya. From
the glance of Kushmanda’s third eye, a lady with complexion of lava was created
having eighteen arms and three eyes, clad in a warrior’s armour with helmet and
saffron clothes, she was armed with weapons like battle-axe, arrow, sword,
lotus, rosary, conch-shell, bell, noose, trident, discus, mace, thunderbolt,
shield, spear, goad, bow, whine-cup and a waterpot with handle. She was seated
on a lotus and was roaring viciously. Kushmanda named her Mahalakshmi, the
originator of wealth and prosperity.
Then from the glance of Kushmanda's right eye, a benevolent lady
with complexion of milk was created having eight arms and three placid eyes,
clad in white clothes with a crescent moon on her forehead. She was armed with
weapons like trident, discus, small drum, arrow, conch shell, bell, bow and a
ploughshare. She was seated on a gem-studded throne and maintained a serene
smile. Kushmanda named her Mahasaraswati, the originator of knowledge and art.
Then Kushmanda's created a man with her child Mahakali having five
faces, fifteen eyes and ten arms. His complexion was fair and he was clad in
tiger-skin. A serpent was coiled around his throat and he wore a crescent moon
on his forehead. He was armed with weapons like battle-axe, antelope, thunderbolt,
skull-cup, Damru, bow, arrow, trident, rosary and a Kamandalu. Kushmanda named
him Shiva, the destroyer, recycler and the transformer.
Then from Mahalakshmi she created a man with four faces and four
arms. His complexion was red and he was clad in saffron clothes, holding lotus,
book, rosary and a waterpot. Kushmanda named him Brahma, the creator.
Then from Mahasaraswati a man having four arms with dark
complexion was created, clad in yellow clothes. He held a discus, a
conch-shell, a mace and a lotus. Kushmanda named him Vishnu, the protector and
proisperor.
Kushmanda created a woman having four arms and fair complexion. She
was lad in red, holding her two lower hands open while her two upper hands held
a goad and a noose. Kushmanda named her Shakti, the divine female who was an
incarnation or part of herself. Kushmanda then re-absorbed the major part of
the triple Goddesses (Mahalakshmi, Mahakali, Mahasaraswati) and then gave
Shakti to Shiva, Saraswati to Brahma and Lakshmi to Vishnu as consorts. She
then entered Shakti as an orb of great energy.
Kushmanda is Goddess Shakti herself, the first being of the entire
universe and she is only the one who created this universe by making her half
being as Shiva. Adishakti took herself into three forms, one of the three
splits was her own form. Kali and hence we find Adishakti as well as Kali being
wife of Shiva. The other splits were Saraswati and Lakshmi. She is invoked
using the mantra
Surāsampūrṇakalaśaṁ
rudhirāplutamēva cha |
Dadhānā hastapadmābhyāṁ kūṣmāṇḍā śubhadāstu mē ||
Dadhānā hastapadmābhyāṁ kūṣmāṇḍā śubhadāstu mē ||
So celebrate the goddess of the cosmic egg of creation on
the fourth day of the auspicious festival of Navratri and help people with creative ideas and gifts, who knows that Kushmand or Goddess Durga gets happy
and gives blessing to your creation.

Get to know the fierce warrior mother Chandraghanta
The third day is given to the goddess of war or the fierce but
gentle Chandraghanta, she is considered as the warrior aspect of Durga, there
are many stories around her as she is the goddess of war.
The story last time was that Parvati was born as younger sister of
Ganga and daughter of the shiva devotee Himavan while Mahadeva was meditating
alone in a cave, the deep meditation of Mahadeva was to be broken or Mahadeva
should have to be awoken from his deep slumber, after lot of tries to awake
him, Parvati hadn’t succeeded, Mahadeva had a fear that if he again tries to
marry any other incarnation of Adishakti, she may leave him again in the same
way as Sati and he didn’t want to destroy or imbalance the world again due to
which he didn’t wake. The god and goddess of erotic love, attraction, desire
and affection, Kama tried to help by reaching Shiva and shooting an arrow of
desire. The destroyer Shiva opened his third eye in his forehead and burnt the
arrow with the cupid Kama to ashes, but due to love being one of the primal
desires, Shiva gave him the boon to be present anywhere love, desire and
attraction is present. Parvati didn’t lose her hope or her resolve to win over
Shiva, so she began to live in mountains like Mahadeva, engaging in the same
activities as him, which were of asceticism, yogin and tapas. These activities
came to draw the attention of Shiva and awakened him. He met her in a disguised
form, tried to discourage her, telling her his weaknesses and personality
problems. But Parvati was adamant and refused to listen and insisted in her
resolve. Shiva had taken oath that he will not marry any woman but on seeing
her Shiva finally accepted her and they decided to get married. Not only
Himavan and Ganga but all the Gods and humans were happy for the marriage to
come. Shiva’s attendants were called ganas or bhootganas or ghosts due to which
when Lord Shiva came with the procession of gods, mortals, ghouls, goblins,
sages and ascetics, the king and queen of the were terrorized by the horrible
form of Lord Shiva and Parvati’s mother fainted due to it. So to save her
parents she changed into a beautiful Goddess who persuaded Shiva to re-appear
in a charming form.
Then Shiva appeared as a prince and impressed Parvati’s parents
and the marriage was completed to complement his princely avatar known as Chandrashekhar
Goddess Parvati took the avatar of Chandraghanta who has eight hands holding a
Trishula (trident), Gada (mace), bow-arrow, Kamal (lotus), Kamandal (waterpot),
khadak (sword) and Ghanta (bell), while the last one of her hand remains in
abhayamudra or blessing posture. She rides a lion representing bravery and
courage, she waers a half moon on her forehead in bell shape soto emphasize her
as well as Mahadeva’s connection to the moon, similar to Lord Shiva she also
have infamously destructive third eye in the middle of her forehead, this makes
her somewhat perfect half of Lord Shiva and appropriate to unite with him. In the
word “Chandraghanta” , the word “Chandra” means moon while “Ghanta” means bell,
so we can say she is a goddess having moon in the shape of bell on her
forehead. She can be said to be one of the form which closely resembles Goddess
Durga, her devotees are said to devepol an aura of divine splendour. It is said
that Chandraghanta is ready to destroy the wicked but for her devotees she is
like a mother who cares for her child. She is the one who defeated the demon Dhumralochan
and his entire army. She is invoked by the mantra
Piṇḍaja
pravarāruṛhā caṇḍakōpāstra kairyutā |
prasādaṁ tanutē mahyaṁ candra ghanṣṭēti viśrutā ||
prasādaṁ tanutē mahyaṁ candra ghanṣṭēti viśrutā ||
So get the feeling of divine splendour and worsahip Devi Chandraghanta
and celebrate the third day of Navaratra with gifts of splendor among your closed
ones.
